The Boston South Coast Comic Con & Anime Fest is a fan convention dedicated to providing a safe, affordable and fun event for all attendees, exhibitors and guests.
BSCCC will continue to feature all the fan favorites of comic cons and pop culture events including cosplay, costume contests, video game free play and competitions, celebrity guests signing autographs and photo opportunities, panels, VIP Experiences, and vendors of vintage and modern toys, comic books, jewelry, clothing, art and other pop culture must-haves, along with Artists and Authors and Entertainment.
Boston Anime Fest will welcome Anime fans from many generations. Since Astro Boy made his first appearance on CBS stations in 1963, it’s likely that Anime is part of the Everyone’s Experience. Catering to the cosplay community we will be adding Anime-centric cosplay competitions, panels, guests and video showings. We’ll host manga artists and voice actors who have created the anime spirit. And there will be vendors who have not only new anime related wares, but those collectibles that are the opportunity to have a piece of a very special past.
Cosplay is an important part of our event, and the Hanover Mall loves cosplayers. Cosplay fans: we’ve already let Santa know he’ll have his lap full for December photo ops! We are also adding a Pro-Cosplay Competition to our line-up. Please see the Cosplay page for information as it becomes available.
Not to be left out, BSCCC will continue the young fan special events as we open the Kids Comic Clubhouse! Where young fans and their parents can learn from comic book artists, voice actors, and others involved in this creative community.
This fan convention isn’t at a hotel, but there is a lot of room for cosplay, contests, vendors and fun. The celebrities we bring in will not cost a lot or charge a lot for their autographs or photo-ops. As this is a family event, there will not be evening parties and other adult-only venues. Why? This is all in an effort to keep the cost low so fans of all budgets can attend.
